Smart Mixed Reality opens a new stage of technical developments into the manufacturing, inspection and maintenance performance. This application obtains an interactive and digital exchange of work instructions between engineering departments and shop floors.
As well, the non-conformities management can be simplified through paperless work and especially by linkage of data from different sources (ERP, Excel, XML, CAD), which allow rapid feedback loops with Engineering.
Smart Mixed Reality is known Airbus-internally under the name MiRA (learn more about that here) and has been integrated in many shop floors of different aircraft models worldwide since 2012.
