Women in NDT

Female Testia colleagues share their stories about their roles and careers as women in NDT.

In light of the global feminist day on 8 March, the platform ndt.net invited female workers in non-destructive testing and adjacent fields to share their stories. The result is a special issue of the e-Journal of Nondestructive Testing (eJNDT), titled “Women in NDT”. Among the authors are three colleagues from Testia:

Olabusayo Kukoyi is a test engineer at Testia UK and writes why she is “Motivated to Make a Difference Through NDT. The Importance of Mentorship in Supporting Women in Nondestructive Testing.”

Tsz Ting Wan works as an NDT inspector at Testia UK. In her article, she tells her story of “How TV Role Models Inspired a Woman’s Journey in NDT and Aircraft Safety.”

G. Paulina G. Jiménez, NDT inspector at Testia Mexico, shares her “Experiences of a Woman on the Frontlines” (the article is written in Spanish).

Furthermore, you can find additinal interviews with even more perspectives from women in NDT at Testia in a recent post on our Linkedin page.
